Kaiserslautern, Germany

I made the last (or perhaps the first, depending on how you view it) major change in my plans. I found a RyanAir ticket from Hahn, Germany to Malmo, Sweeden for just $7.12 and I couldn't resist. So on March 30th I will fly into Sweeden, cross into Copenhagen, Denmark, return to Stockholm, ferry to Helsinki, short rail to Hanko, Finland and then ferry (22hrs) to Rostock, Germany. From Rostock I will probably slip into Berlin and then catch the night-train to Holland and pick up my intended route from there. The seven dollar flight added 3 countries to my journey and allows me to take the (reportedly) luxurious cruise from Hanko to Rostock. My rail pass allows me a 3-bed cabin on the ferry.

The railpasses came today and I've been pouring over the info. I'm very excited about this trip and can't wait to get on the road (or on the rails as the case may be).
